For over a decade I have worked in a variety of roles - as a researcher, journalist, policy advisor and educator - with view to improving EU policy-making in the area of economic law. You can find my full academic CV here.

I am currently based between Florence (Florence School of Banking and Finance, EUI), London (Grantham Research Institute, LSE) and Warsaw (Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences) where I research and teach in the area of regulation and the political economy of sustainable finance.

EU economic law and sustainable finance regulations are my core specialisations. I see these fields however in a broader policy and political context of the transformation of European and global governance.

The core areas of my work are:

  • academic research: as assistant professor at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, I am conducting a three-year NSC-funded research project exploring the political economy of the EU's sustainable finance agenda (you can read more about the project here). The project seeks to make methodological and policy contributions facilitating the role of regulation in driving the sustainability transformation.

  • academic community building:  as part of the Working Group on Finance, Climate Change and Sustainability of the European Banking Institute, which is a space for engagement and exchange between scholars and practitioners with regard to key policy challenges (e.g. green bonds). You can read more about the activity of EBI here.

  • interdisciplinary educational projects: I teach EU and international business law at the University of Warsaw, Florence School of Banking and Finance (EUI) and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. I have co-created and serve on the academic council of the "Sustainable Finance Postgraduate Diploma" at the University in Warsaw. You can read more about my teaching here. The courses I teach span disciplines and jurisdictions to equip students with a complex understanding of how legal factors are shaping socioeconomic outcomes. I have also co-designed and delivered tailored trainings to professionals in private practice and public sector on EU banking regulation.

  • policy contributions: I work with international organisations, research institutes and think-tanks on topical issues, ranging from specialised problems of banking regulation to broader issues such as the crisis transformation of the EU or euro area integration. I have worked as â€‹
